Dr. Dunn earned her BS in Zoology from The University of Oklahoma in 1984, and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University in 1989. Dr. Dunn then begain working for her father-in-law, Dr. Louis Nightengale, as a small animal associate with an interest in exotic animals.
In 1996, after eight years as an associate, Dr. Dunn and her husband, Doug Nightengale, D.V.M. renovated the old Priddy Dairy homestead, creating a full service small animal hospital. They chose the name, "Family Pet Clinic", to emphasize their feeling about the importance of family in all our lives, as well as the integral role our pets play in family happiness. Dr. Dunn is a member of The American Veterinary Medical Association, The Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association, The Pride of Oklahoma Alumni Band, and serves on the Board of Directors at the Ardmore Family YMCA.
Together, they have three children, Seth, Wil and Emma , who are proudly attending Ardmore Schools. They enjoy swimming, fishing, boating, and about any outdoor activity. The family attends the First Presbyterian Church in Ardmore.
